Burdock (Arctium lappa)

Burdock root is a powerful anti-inflammatory and blood detoxifier used therapeutically in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and across Europe and North America for hundreds of years.

Studies have shown that burdock root consumed as a tea had a significant effect on decreasing inflammation and oxidative stress particularly in osteoarthritis, and it may also help to improve many inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis due to its ability to promote
circulation to the surface of the skin.

The root contains an army of active components that when consumed, unleashes a powerhouse of antioxidants to scavenge for free radicals and remove toxins from the bloodstream such as essential oils, phenolic acids, and sesquiterpene lactones.

In a nutshell, more and more research is being done to uncover the benefits of burdock, so all we need to do is sit back with a cup of herbal tea and glow from the inside out!
