Why black glass?
Our tea blends are 100% organic, that means no nasty sprays, no preservatives. The black glass keeps the light out, so it extends the life of the tea and preserves the therapeutic qualities without the need for any chemicals.
Unfortunately, tea is one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world with unnecessary synthetic toxic chemicals which cause a chain reaction of detrimental effects on surrounding eco-systems, and every living thing in it - including us.
Steeping non-organic tea in hot water only means anything that the leaves are sprayed with are leeching out into your cup like synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
